Plastic Surgeon
Mr Rodrigo Teixeira is specialised in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons. Mr Teixeira completed his training in Brazil and undertook further fellowship training in Australia at The Alfred Hospital and at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Plastic Surgery, Craniofacial & Cleft and Burns. His practice also includes treatment of traumatic injuries, facial fractures, skin cancer and hand surgery.
He also received fellowship training in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and has a special interest in Facial Surgery and Rhinoplasty.
In addition to private practice, Mr Teixeira also works at the Royal Children’s Hospital where he participates in teaching, training and research. He is the Plastic, Hand and Maxillofacial Surgery Head of Unit at The Northern Hospital.
Rodrigo cares about his patients and what he does for them. He believes good rapport is the starting point for an individualized surgical plan. He believes listening to patients and encouraging good communication is key. This philosophy is also fostered when working together with GPs and other specialists.
He is available to see patients immediately at our Whittlesea rooms,his main rooms in the city or other locations in the north-east area.
