Jonathan is a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with a sub-specialist interest in patients with knee and hip conditions, in particular, patello-femoral instability, acute sports injuries and ligament reconstructions, as well as knee and hip arthritis. Jonathan completed his Fellowship training in 2011 and during this time he also completed a post-graduate degree and Thesis at the University of Melbourne and the RCH.
After Fellowship training, Jonathan completed two highly regarded sub-specialist European Knee Fellowships. In 2013 Jonathan worked at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre in Bristol where he gained experience in treating patients with patello-femoral instability as well as primary and revision knee ligament reconstruction, osteotomy and joint replacement. In 2014, Jonathan trained in Lyon at the Centre Albert Trillat where he focused on knee ligament reconstruction and hip and knee replacement. Jonathan also took a special interest on robotic knee surgery, using state-of-the-art technology.
Currently Jonathan is an Orthopaedic Consultant consulting and operating at Epworth Eastern Private Hospital as well as Box Hill Hospital where he is an Orthopaedic trainee supervisor. He has published many peer reviewed journal articles and book chapters and is on the review panel for EFFORT open reviews and Development Medicine and Child Neurology.
